Lancaster Peace Lecture: Peace in a Changing World Order? with Stephen Gethins MP. Coffee served beforehand.

This talk will explore the future of international cooperation during a time marked by conflict and challenges to the global order, such as Brexit and the growing tendency of the United States towards unilateral decision-making. Stephen Gethins MP, who represents Arbroath and Brought Ferry and is also a Professor of Practice in International Relations at the University of St Andrews, will discuss the implications of the war in Ukraine and other ongoing conflicts within the UK. With Lancaster's historical significance as a 'border city' and its strong ties to both Scotland and Ireland, Stephen will focus on what we can learn about warfare and relationships from the changing dynamics within these islands.
