Our language subjects have been once again highly ranked within the recently published Complete University Guide 2025national league table:

• Italian – 4th
• French – 7th
• German – 8th
• Iberian Languages (Spanish) – 18th

The Complete University Guide league table includes 130 institutions and is based on ten measures: entry standards, student satisfaction, research quality, research intensity, academic services spend, spending on student facilities, continuation, student-staff ratio, graduate prospects – outcomes, and graduate prospects – on track.

Overall, Lancaster University has retained its crown as the top university in North West England in the Complete University Guide 2025 and has also maintained a high national position, ranking joint 10th out of 130 universities across the UK.
