A role of academic influence and strategic impact
As a Lecturer in Computing at Deakin Lancaster Indonesia (DLI), you will be at the forefront of undergraduate education on our dynamic international campus in Bandung, West Java. Reporting to the Rector in the first instance and then to an academic director, you will play a central role in co-designing and delivering engaging, high-quality learning experiences that prepare students for success in a rapidly evolving global digital landscape.
You will demonstrate a strong commitment to innovative teaching practices that actively engage undergraduate learners. This includes the use of student-centred approaches such as flipped classrooms, collaborative and inquiry-based learning, blended delivery, and real-world problem solving. You will co-design inclusive, accessible curricula that promote academic curiosity, critical thinking, and practical skill development across a diverse, multi dimentional global student cohort.
You will contribute to curriculum development, assessment design, and programme enhancement, ensuring that learning remains relevant, rigorous, and aligned with industry expectations. You will foster an environment where students are motivated to participate, reflect, and apply their learning confidently.
Beyond the classroom, you will support student development through academic advising and mentorship. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to pedagogical scholarship or research activities that underpins and strengthens our teaching quality and student outcomes.
As part of a collaborative academic community across Indonesia, Australia, and the UK, you will share best practice, engage in continuous professional learning, and help shape a vibrant, inclusive academic culture that reflects the values and ambitions of this unique transnational partnership.
