Two Lancaster graduates received alumni awards at the December graduation ceremonies.
Dr Hugh Reeve
Dr Hugh Reeve is a GP and the Chief Clinical Officer of the NHS Cumbria Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
Hugh graduated from Lancaster University with a master’s degree in Management Learning and Leadership in 2005.
Originally elected to the position of Chair of CCG in 2012 by GP colleagues in Cumbria, he took his present role in March 2015.
He is one of the leaders creating an integrated model of health and social care across the Morecambe Bay area, which achieved national Vanguard status earlier this year. As part of this an innovative partnership is developing between the NHS locally and a Spanish healthcare system.
From 2009-12 he was Chair of Westmorland Primary Care Collaborative - the 2012 National Commissioning Organisation of the Year. Nationally he has worked in an advisory capacity with the King’s Fund, the Nuffield Trust, and NHS England in the areas of integrated care and primary care development.
Manav Kumar Agarwal
Manav Kumar Agarwal is the President and Director of Dynamic Drilling, a family-run business which operates six rigs under long term contracts with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, The Fortune 500 National Oil Company of India.
Manav graduated from Lancaster University with a master’s degree in Management in 2000.
Manav has over a decade’s experience in various facets of oil and gas services, including international collaboration, business development, corporate strategy and finance. He has played an instrumental role in shaping and growing the business over the last six years.
A sought-after speaker at various international energy conferences, he also serves as the Chairman of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) for the South East Asia Chapter and is a member of the Young President Organisation (YPO) and Entrepreneur Organisation (EO).
