Europe Day Lecture His Excellency João Vale de Almeida European Union Ambassador to the United Kingdom Followed by wine reception in West Pavilion
Mr Vale de Almeida is the first European Union Ambassador to the United Kingdom since the UK formally exited the EU in 2020. Prior to this, he was the EU’s Ambassador to the United Nations. He studied History at the University of Lisbon.
All welcome. The event will be student-led with the format broadly following a question and answer session with Ambassador Vale de Almeida.
Europe Day traditionally celebrates peace and unity on the continent of Europe since the end of the Second World War.
