Global entrepreneur and investor Nicole Junkermann appointed Visiting Professor in Practice at Lancaster University

Lancaster University has appointed Nicole Junkermann, a leading global entrepreneur and investor, as Visiting Professor in Practice for Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.
Ms Junkermann has successfully founded, built, and sold global businesses at the intersection of technology, health, sports, and media. As founder of NJF Holdings, she now oversees a global investment group with a focus on emerging technologies that address real-world challenges as well as technologies redefining traditional business models.
She is a leading early-stage investor in areas including artificial intelligence, deep tech, biotechnology, and the future of healthcare. Her investments include pioneering companies in secure communications, genomics, machine learning, and regenerative medicine with her direct holdings including SpaceX, Rippling, Halcyon.

As Visiting Professor in Practice, Ms Junkermann will contribute to Lancaster’s strategic focus on technology-led innovation and entrepreneurship, supporting learning, research and industry engagement. She will share insights from her work with start-ups, growth-stage companies, global investors, and governments and help connect the university’s researchers and students to leading networks of investors and innovators worldwide.
Her appointment reflects Lancaster University’s ambition to position the city, Lancashire and the wider North West as a growing hub for technology, innovation and entrepreneurship on the global stage. By linking the university’s research strengths with international investment and industry networks, Ms Junkermann will help showcase the region’s talent and potential to a worldwide audience.
