Research Overview

I am in the third year of my PhD in the Department of Linguistics and English Language. My research background is corpus pragmatic linguistics with a focus on the linguistic and legal interpretations of threats in England. Additionally, I am interested in speech act theory, rhetorical moves analysis, and appraisal analysis. I am also a casual researcher for the CLASS Centre (Corpus linguistics and Legal Approaches to Safeguarding Studies) at Lancaster.
