Research Overview

I am a PhD Candidate in E-Research and Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL), exploring how inclusivity is conceptualised and embedded within digital learning design in South African higher education. Drawing on CHAT, I examine the collaborative practices of instructional designers and educational technologists to understand whether inclusive design is proactively integrated or addressed reactively. My research is grounded in historically unequal and resource-constrained institutional contexts, contributing to debates on equitable digital transformation. I am particularly interested in inclusive instructional design, blended learning, generative AI in education, and contextually responsive TEL frameworks for institutions serving under-resourced and rural student communities.
