With personalised support and a measured variety of practice and theory, the Lancaster BA Social Work Programme equips you to join the Social Work profession with confidence, expertise and compassion.
Our placements provide you with hands-on experience within different organisations including in statutory services (Local Authorities and the NHS), the voluntary and third sectors. We listen to your placement preferences and career objectives, and aim to carefully match students to practice learning opportunities.
Through individualised support, you will get tailored help with your studies. You will be assigned to an academic advisor to ensure you always have someone to turn to for support and advice - whether you want help and guidance with coursework or your practice placements.
Our partnerships with a range of national policy and practice organisations means that we can readily involve practitioners, advocates and individuals with lived experience in our teaching, ensuring students gain first-hand and up-to-date knowledge of contemporary social work.
