This multi-disciplinary one-day workshop, seeks to bring together early-career researchers, senior academics, and PhD candidates dedicated to knowledge exchange and discussing approaches, theories, and experiences of researching queer African genders, sexualities and the law.

Plural Legal Systems: How overlapping and conflicting legal and normative systems shape gender and sexualities within and across regions
Legal Activism: rights based approaches, law-making and resistance.
Methodological Innovation: Rethinking ethical research in sensitive, high-risk contexts for marginalised communities.
Decolonising Theory: Challenging dominant global frameworks through feminist, queer and trans approaches to law.
