Fiction Writing Success for Operational Research Postgraduate

Fiction Writing Success for Operational Research Postgraduate -
With degrees in Pharmaceutical Science and Postgraduate Operational Research, Menesh Patel may not fit the image that first springs to mind

Based in South-East London, Menesh (MSc Operational Research, 2002) decided to pursue his interest in the arts after working as a pharmaceutical representative for several years. He starred in a play with the RSC at Stratford soon after securing his Performance Studies diploma, but these days it's fiction writing that occupies most of his attention. Menesh's first novel, a fantastic tale of adventure and friendship featuring a kitten named Brain, was released in the summer of 2015. He's already working on a sequel to Brain, and is busy putting the finishing touches on a young adult sci-fi novel. Having written for several years, he is now very happy to be able to call himself a fulltime writer. I ask Menesh if he'd ever work with an agent or publishing house. "If the scope to work with an agent or publisher arose, I'd definitely consider it," he tells me. But with multiple books already in the pipeline, Menesh seems to be content working on his own.
