I am a final year PhD student in Maths & Stats studying quantum probability
As part of my PhD I have been developing a quasifree stochastic calculus for infinite dimensional and squeezed noises. These occur in quantum optics when one wants to study a small system (e.g. an atom) coupled to a large external environment (e.g. photon or matter fields).
I am also investigating how quantum stochastic techniques can be applied to the study of irreversible dynamics (namely E_0-semigroups) in operator algebras.
