Friday 2 May 2014, 3.30-5pm

Location:  LEC Training rooms 1 & 2

We have organised this seminar in response to a call from some ecologists in the department who are interested in learning more about the different approaches and methods that social scientists use to tackle environmental research problems.

During the seminar, three social scientists at Lancaster (2 from LEC and 1 from Sociology) will be showcasing their work, and we will be using these examples to focus discussions around how these (and other) research approaches can shed new light to problems such as climate change and environmental pollution.

We have designed this seminar to be as interactive and multi-discipline 'friendly' as possible, with the intention of encouraging the asking of questions that are often not voiced due to concerns of appearing unknowledgeable or combative.

Please indicate your interest by sending an email to Anne by April 25 (a.toomey@lancaster.ac.uk).
