Google alumnus shares career insights

Phil Boylan

LUMS alumnus (BSc Business Studies, 2009) and Google representative Phil Boylan came back to LUMS to share his insights with current students in a recent talk.

Phil, the UK Data Lead for DoubleClick, delivered a ‘Careers @ Google’ talk about how he came to work for Google. Phil described his typical day, offered advice for students interested in applying to the company, and shared his story as a ‘Googler’ within a diverse and innovative office culture.

Phil Boylan said afterwards: “Thanks again for having me. It was great to be back and to have a chance to speak to the students. There were some great questions and engagement, and I'm looking forward to seeing some of them apply for Google.”

Matthew Howard, LUMS Undergraduate Careers Adviser said: “This talk was a huge success, and certainly an invaluable window for all students into life and career opportunities at Google. It was great to welcome Phil back to campus, and we look forward to future collaborations with Google.”
