The MSc in Finance at Lancaster University Management School is the right course for you to launch a career in Finance and land the perfect job. You will cover all aspects of Finance, including Investments and Financial Statement Analysis, and have a great insight into Investment Banking and Financial Markets.

Staying on campus is so convenient: you’re close to classes, shops, the library and transportation services. On the other hand, you will meet students from all over the globe, mix with different cultures and backgrounds, and obviously expand your network for the long run.

From day one of the programme, you start acquiring the Finance topics in detail and in return your career starts to build up.

This course is exactly what I was looking for, as my goal was to have a deep understanding of finance with a great opportunity to get a job in banking. Thanks to Lancaster University’s name and prestige, I got an internship in New York City with consulting firm Iridium, and then I was invited onto the Goldman Sachs Spring Programme in London, where I gained a broad insight into Investment Banking and Corporate Finance. My first full-time job was with the Royal Bank of Scotland in their Leveraged Finance team, before moving to Equity Capital Markets at Deutsche Bank and then Citi.

In my opinion, this course is a success because the professors are passionate about what they do. At Lancaster University, the professors are always ready to assist students, not only with the course materials but with career guidance as well. In addition, a careers service is available for students and it helps you with writing your CV, covering letters, and job applications.

Finally, the social life in Lancaster is one of my great memories. The city has many clubs, bars, cafés and shops. It is also fairly easy to visit London for some tourism or even travel around Europe if you have some spare time.
