From non-local games to quantum groups

I will give an introduction to non-local games, which are a game-theoretic way to explore aspects of quantum mechanical entanglement. The underlying mathematical involves exploring certain probability distributions, an angle which I hope will appeal to many in our Department. Time allowing, I will explore how certain compact quantum groups-- the quantum permutation groups-- appear, which provides a link to my own research interests.
