Graduating students

The Royal Statistical Society promotes the importance of statistics and data and acts as a professional body for all statisticians and data analysts. It has awarded accreditation to the following degrees:

  • BSc Mathematics with Statistics - for all graduates
  • MSci Mathematics with Statistics
  • MSci Mathematics with Statistics (Study Abroad)
  • BSc Statistics - for all graduates
  • MSci Statistics
  • MSci Statistics (Study Abroad)
  • BSc Mathematics
  • MSci Mathematics
  • MSci Mathematics (Study Abroad)
  • MSc Statistics

Graduates of our partially-accredited or non-accredited courses may also be eligible, if they obtain Second Class Honours or higher and have taken the relevant statistics modules.

Dr Alexander Belton, Head of Department, said, "Accreditation by the Royal Statistical Society serves to emphasise the excellence of our undergraduate and postgraduate degree schemes, the hard work undertaken by our dedicated staff in the delivery of a first-class student experience, and the resulting high-quality education which we provide."

The Society also sponsors a Royal Statistical Society prize for an exceptional student or students graduating from its accredited courses.

All of our single honours degree pathways in Mathematics, Statistics and Mathematics with Statistics have also been accredited by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications.
