Student Academic Representation
The Student Academic Representation System is a partnership between the University and the Students’ Union. It is designed to ensure that student representation contributes to quality assurance and enhancement in the student educational experience. The basis on which the system operates was jointly agreed and is set out in the document Principles and Guidelines for Student Academic Representation, which was approved by Senate in June 2015.
The guidelines are for use by University staff, the Students’ Union and students. It applies to all students who are taught via the Lancaster Bailrigg site but not to those receiving tuition at overseas partnership institutions, where individual localised procedures for student academic representation will apply.
There is also useful information for departmental staff on the Students’ Union website.
