Changes to the use of internal departmental project codes in Retail outlets

One americano coffee and one latte

From 1st October, the Food & Dining team are unable to accept internal departmental project codes as a method of payment in campus Retail outlets. This is due to financial regulations.

To support this change, Lancaster University staff members can order a Food & Dining card (previously known as the ‘Eat’ card), and load this with credit using their project code. The credit is loaded onto the card and used to make purchases. Once credit is loaded onto your card, it is ready to use within a matter of seconds.

Project codes can still be used as a method of payment for The Lounge, where the table has been pre-booked with eat@lancaster.ac.uk and the project code has been provided by email.

In addition, our voucher request process remains the same. This process is valid for large groups and vouchers can be requested by emailing eat@lancaster.ac.uk and providing a cost code.

The Food & Dining card can be used in any of our University run Retail outlets, a full list can be found on this page > https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/eat/outlets/

If you have a Food and Dining card that you no longer use or need, we would be grateful if you could return the card to the Guest Services Office so we can re-use and re-cycle the card.

To request further information or to order a Food & Dining card, please email epos.stock@lancaster.ac.uk. Cards can be collected from the Guest Services Office (previously Blackwells) located on the central Spine.

Finally, If you would like to make an internal catering booking using your project code, please visit the Food & Dining page to make a booking > Food & Dining | Lancaster University
