‘Freedom of speech’ and ‘Disability and Inclusion’ exhibitions featured in Library Festival

On Friday 23 October, Charlotte Baker will present an exhibition featuring images and words gathered as part of her fieldwork for the Disability and Inclusion project in Cameroon, Nigeria, and South Africa. The project explores understandings of disability and their impact on the lives of disabled persons in sub-Saharan African places.
Then, on Saturday 24 October, Cyrille Rollet and Romain Bardot will share the exhibition ‘Dessins en liberté’ developed in collaboration with the Institut Français de Londres and the Alliance Française de Manchester about freedom of speech, particularly with regard to the media. The exhibition was planned in 2020 to coincide with the 5th anniversary of the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris on 7 January 2015, but has not been displayed until now.
Charlotte, Romain and Cyrille will be taking part in discussions in relation to their exhibitions as part of an evening of live music and conversation. All are welcome!
