Delivered by Lancaster University's Health Innovation Campus team, in partnership with the Management School, this virtual two-day workshop is for small and medium-sized businesses who are interested in developing ideas for or diversifying into the food, health and wellbeing sectors.
The UK has one of the highest levels of obesity in western Europe, and many physical and mental health conditions are related to poor diet. Citizens are eager to take more responsibility for their own health and wellbeing, this means there are new opportunities to innovate in the health sector.
Now more than ever, it is important that companies are open to new ideas and they learn how to adapt and think differently during a period of uncertainty. Over the two-day workshop you will work in teams online to explore ideas using a proven innovation process called Design Thinking, which provides a person-centred and structured approach to drive and implement innovation.
Throughout the workshop you will put this Design Thinking into practice, working collaboratively to develop solutions to food-focused health challenges and leave with the tools to use in your own business or organisation.
If you are a food producer, nutrition or wellbeing expert, or part of a charity or social enterprise working in the area of food and nutrition - or perhaps you are a local business with an interest in community food solutions, this workshop is for you.
Why should I sign up?
