Creating a positive impact on health and wellbeing through innovation in the built and natural environment.
About this Event
Two-day workshop: 7 November & 21 November - 9am to 4.30pm
Both the built and the natural environment where we live and work have an impact on our health and wellbeing. Suitable accommodation is the foundation of personal wellbeing and community spaces can help individuals to remain connected and socially stimulated.
Innovation in these spaces can deliver health benefits and a better quality of life, realising a vision of healthier places for all.
Do you have an idea that could deliver on a vision of healthy places to live and work? We invite you to bring your creativity to explore ideas using a proven innovation process called Design Thinking.
Working with like-minded people you will develop a shared understanding of some of the challenges and opportunities in creating healthy places and use creative business tools to discover solutions to address these.
The Design Thinking process has been tried and tested in a number of sectors and provides a structured approach to drive and implement innovation. As well as learning how to use the Design Thinking process by putting it into practice and working collaboratively to address some health challenges, you will also leave with a toolkit to use in your own business or organisation.
Workshop benefits:
- Be inspired, challenged, and motivated to innovate
- Identify opportunities for new products and services ideal for the health and wellbeing sector
- Learn to apply the structured process of design thinking to problem solving
- Learn to use new tools that will lead to improved business performance
