Dr Aviva Guttmann (Aberystwyth University), 'Targeted assassinations on European territory: European complicity, Revenge, and the International Relations of Intelligence Agencies'
Aviva Guttmann is a Lecturer in Strategy and Intelligence at Aberystwyth University. Before joining Aberystwyth, she was a Marie Curie Senior Researcher (Project: LINSEC) and a Research Associate at King’s College London. Aviva is the founder and chair of the Women’s Intelligence Network (WIN), which connects and promotes women scholars and practitioners in the field of intelligence studies. Her research focuses on the international relations of intelligence agencies, covert action, and counterterrorism. She has published a monograph on The Origins of International Counterterrorism (2018), co-edited a book on Estimative Intelligence in European Foreign Policymaking (2022), and contributed seven articles in three languages to refereed academic journals of history, intelligence, international and strategic studies.
