Event Details

The History Department hosts seminars allowing visiting speakers to present their current research.

Jason Peacey's area of interest is British history in the early modern period. He is currently working on ideas and practices of citizenship, not least petitioning, not least in terms of the responsiveness (or otherwise) of political elites to the grievances of ordinary subjects, and how this generated political thinking.
