Deborah Sutton has been awarded a British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grant to begin work on a project about the archaeology of the Delhi Metro. ‘Heritage, the Metro and the Infraworld of Delhi’ will explore the transformation of Delhi's diverse and extraordinary cultural heritage by the construction of the metro system, both above and below the ground.
