Lancaster Historical Postgraduate Conference awarded AHRC funding

Lancaster Historical Postgraduate Conference (LHPC) 2023 has been generously awarded £1500 from the AHRC North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership (NWCDTP).
This award has been made from the Partnership's Cohort Development Fund, a pot of money for disciplinary and interdisciplinary conferences and seminars. The size of the award reflects efforts the conference organisers have made to attract participants from across a range of disciplines.
William Garbett, of the LHPC organising committee, said 'We are so pleased to have secured funding from the NWCDTP. The money awarded will go towards travel costs for our keynote speaker and panellists, as well as quality refreshments and stationery.'
LHPC 2023 will take place between 29 and 30 June 2023. The event will feature a keynote talk by Dr Lucio Biasiori (Associate Professor of Early Modern History at the University of Padua) and papers by postgraduate researchers from twenty-two institutions in the UK, Ireland and Italy. Participants will be from disciplines as varied as Drama, Law and, of course, History.
