This third annual Beach School conference and CPD Day will focus upon using the coast as a transformative space for children that can bring the curriculum alive and provide opportunities for their social and emotional development.

‘Transforming and Renewing our Curriculum’

Come and join us on our summer conference day, where we will explore developing children’s resilience, growth mindset and creativity. There will be practical workshops, presentations from practitioners, research updates and opportunities to share practice and engage with colleagues in an informal and collegiate setting.

The conference will provide opportunities for colleagues to;

• Develop their repertoire of successful activities that colleagues have used with their classes in a Teach on the Beach workshop.
• Extend your understanding of ways to support effective curriculum teaching using the coast by subject specialists and leaders from the innovative Morecambe Bay Curriculum.
• Extend your knowledge of the flora and fauna that live on our coast in a workshop led by Green Sefton Head Ranger.
• Explore a range of resources that can be used to support curriculum development.
• Be aware of current research on the impact of the coast on children's learning.

This event is free and there will be tea and coffee available throughout the day. We kindly ask participants to please bring something for lunch that can be shared.
