MBC Visit to Eden Project Cornwall
The education team at Eden have invited members of the Morecambe Bay Curriculum to visit them early next year! The visit will take place from 5th-7th March 2026. Those attending will be:
- Building relationships between the Eden Project Cornwall education team and MBC educators. The Eden team will then have a return visit to the MBC in April, to further develop relationships.
- Learning about Eden Project Cornwall work and feeding back on initial Eden Project Morecambe education plans.
- Visiting Sky Primary School and Eden Project Nursery to understand how the relationships between Eden and local education partners can work, and how they might translate to Lancashire and Cumbria.
This is a unique curated CPD opportunity that will include the Eden Project sharing their engagement work, exploring future plans for Eden Project Morecambe, and an exclusive backstage tour of Eden and its education offerings. This is not an opportunity that will be opened to any other group. There will also be some free time for you to explore the two biomes and outdoor gardens at your own pace.
The coach will leave Lancaster University at 08:00 on Thursday 5th March and leave Eden Project at 14:00 on Saturday 7th March to return to Lancaster. We will be staying at two award-winning hotels in Charlestown, a historic Georgian harbour close to Eden that has been featured in a variety of films and TV series, including the Cornish favourite, Poldark. Pier House was featured in The Times’ Top 100 Places to Stay in the UK 2025 and the Rashleigh Arms was previously voted best managed pub in the UK.
The cost of this subsidised group visit is £225 per person, which will include coach travel, two nights' bed and breakfast and entry to Eden. 10 places are available and will be allocated by ballot on 1st December. Payments will be required by 19th December. If you would like to apply, please complete this form.
