Claire Tinker, who recently completed her PhD in the Physics Department under Professor Oleg Kolosov and David Allsop from Biomedial and Life Sciences, has been awarded a Springer Thesis Prize for her work on the application of Physical methods for nanoscale imaging and charaterisation of amyloids.

Claire Tinker, who recently completed her PhD in the Physics Department under Professor Oleg Kolosov and David Allsop from Biomedial and Life Sciences, has been awarded a Springer Thesis Prize for her work on the application of physical methods for nanoscale imaging and charaterisation of amyloids. The award comprises a prize of €500 and the publication of the work in the collection of outstanding Springer Theses.

Now in it's seventh year, this program has so far helped to disseminate the work of over 400 talented young scientists, many of whom have gone on to win other awards, or take up leading research positions.
