STOR-i welcomes summer research students

Summer research students for 2025

On Monday 14th July we welcomed our summer research students to STOR-i. The welcome day included an introduction to life as a STOR-i student along with an ice breaker and team building activities.

As part of its mission, STOR-i offers an opportunity for UK undergraduates to undertake 7-week research projects. The programme has been developed to give motivated students an opportunity to gain an experience of research alongside like-minded peers. The projects also allow students to develop their team work, communication and problem solving skills through a variety of activities including collaborative group work, taught courses and a problem solving day.

This year nine students have joined STOR-i from Universities across the UK including University of Bath, Lancaster University, University of Manchester, Royal Holloway University, University College Cork and University College London. This summer the students will complete research projects with the support and supervision of first and second year STOR-i PhD students and research students and staff from the Department of Management Science and the Department Mathematics and Statistics.
