Sunway University
Sunway University and Lancaster University established an academic partnership in 2006 and so celebrated their 15 year anniversary in September 2021. While the Lancaster-Sunway partnership initially focussed on teaching, it has evolved over the years to also include research collaboration and engagement activities. From an initial cohort of 21 graduates, there are now around 5,400 students who are enrolled in courses offered through the partnership. There are twenty-seven bachelor's and master's degree programmes available, in subjects including Accounting & Finance; Business Management, Biomedicine, Communications, Computer Science, Digital Film Production, and Psychology.
The partnership encourages mobility between the UK and Malaysia. Students at Sunway can study at the UK campus through a variety of opportunities including study abroad and summer programmes. A range of scholarships are provided to support those wishing to study at Lancaster University, either as part of their bachelor’s degree from Sunway Lancaster; to transfer directly to Lancaster University (through a 1+2 articulation); or take a postgraduate degree.
