Research Overview

My research interests intersect three distinct but interconnected themes: evaluation practice, small non-profit evaluation practices and mobile learning practices. My doctoral research explored evaluation practice in a non-profit domain of development education through a longitudinal in-depth case study of a three-year funded project. It looked at evaluation from a social practice theoretical lens exploring the materiality, competence and meaning that individuals, groups or organisations tend to assign to evaluation in their everyday life.

After successfully been awarded the PhD, I am now part of REAP’s team working in a HEFCE research project and OFFA’s evaluation framework. I am also exploring evaluation practices within developing countries, particularly Mozambique, in preparation for a Global Challenge Research Fund grant.
