Practitioners’ insights needed: How do you forecast?

Question marks on a graph

We are carrying out a new research that needs your help.

The Centre is conducting a survey that investigates the forecasting process. The aim is to get a general picture of how forecasts in companies are made including the use of judgmental interventions. We invite all practitioners who are working with forecasts such as demand planners and supply managers to take part in this study. The survey is completely anonymous and will not take more than 10 minutes.

The questionnaire is available here.

Your answers will highlight issues that the practitioners face in their daily job and help us improve existing forecasting processes. This includes improvements to existing Forecasting Support Systems (FSS) and the development of new algorithms that lead to increased forecast accuracy. If you have any question regarding this research please get in contact with Anna Sroginis.
