Join us for an evening of Scrabble, Chess, and a range of Board games. Join us on Saturday 25th April from 6pm until 8pm in Barkers House Farm. It's a relaxed social event open to everyone.

Scrabble, chess, and classic board games are all brilliant ways to bring people together for an evening of strategy, creativity, and a bit of friendly competition. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just looking for a relaxed social activity, there’s something for everyone.

We’ll have plenty of Scrabble sets available, so you can play in pairs or groups of up to four. The aim is simple: score the highest number of points by the time all tiles are used or no more words can be played. Games typically last between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on the number of players. Feel free to add your own twist—set turn timers, choose themed word categories, or invent house rules to keep things lively.

If chess is more your style, we’ll have boards ready for casual matches or mini‑tournaments. Whether you prefer fast-paced blitz games or thoughtful, strategic play, you’ll find someone to match your pace.

And of course, we’ll have a wide selection of board games to keep the fun going all evening. From quick party games to longer strategy challenges, you can jump into something familiar or try something completely new.
