Chair Yoga with Helen Hughes - Your Kinda Yoga

Helen Hughes, founder of Your Kinda Yoga https://www.yourkindayoga.com/ has been teaching and sharing yoga for over 26 years.

Helen’s teaching journey has taken her through a wide range of styles - from the grounding tradition of Hatha Yoga to the fluidity of Flow Yoga, the deep rest of Restorative Yoga, and also the inclusivity of Chair Yoga.

Yoga has been a constant in Helen’s life, not only as a practice of movement and breath but also as a way to build resilience, community, and kindness. When the pandemic came, she moved her classes online and discovered a beautiful gift - a warm, supportive Zoom yoga community that has grown to nearly 50 members, many of whom still practise together today.

Why Helen Teaches Yoga

Yoga has never been about how flexible you are or what you look like in a pose - it’s about creating space to breathe, move, rest, and reconnect with yourself. Her classes are inclusive and welcoming, designed so everybody can experience the joy and benefits of yoga.

Helen’s Approach

  • Kind and supportive teaching for all abilities
  • Simple, clear instructions with adaptations for every body
  • A warm community spirit where people feel seen and valued
  • Blending movement, breath, philosophy, and relaxation to support mind, body, and soul

Come and try Chair Yoga with Helen - a practice of kindness, connection, and movement that truly is for every body.
