This is a space created for a wonderful performance. Here, it’s not just the arts that are contemporary – everything at LICA is modern, equipped with top-spec facilities and the latest environmentally-conscious design.

The result is a structure with a BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) outstanding rating for its sustainability, and a venue perfect for a wide range of large-scale events.

Despite its size – it offers almost 600 square metres of floor space – the building is nestled among the campus greenery, with a footbridge over a pond providing access. Step inside and you’ll find a large foyer, ideal for receptions or even as an exhibition space.

However, the biggest feature at LICA is its huge, double-height performance space. The room is open and airy, big enough to be a flat-floored theatre for an audience of 800, a banquet hall for 320 diners or a reception room for 200 guests. With flexible partition options, it can be divided into smaller areas for various uses. And it has the lighting and sound equipment for all sorts of productions, from awards presentations and gala dinners, to keynote addresses and major launches.
