Guest rooms re-open on campus

Lancaster Guest Rooms

Lancaster University Guest Rooms have been awarded the ‘We’re Good to Go’ accreditation from Visit England, and can safely re-open for visitors wishing to stay in Lancaster.

The recent easing of Government restrictions means that the University is able to re-open some services on campus. With restrictions limiting the amount of people we can host in our homes, reopening the Guest Rooms provides a chance for students to welcome friends and family back to stay in Lancaster.

Safety first

With safety being the first priority, University staff have completed risk assessments and introduced new safety measures to reduce the risk to guests and staff. The new measures which meet government and industry Covid-19 guidelines mean that the Guest Rooms have been awarded the ‘We’re Good to Go’ accreditation by Visit England, and can now safely reopen.

These measures include a new check-in procedure which reduces contact, sanitised room keys, the removal of non-essential items from rooms, and stringent disinfecting of the rooms between guests.

The Deli which reopened in June will provide guests with a takeaway breakfast.
