The UK Corporate Games were due to take place this year in Lancaster, with many events being held at the Bailrigg campus.

Originally scheduled for 23–26 July, the games had been postponed to 3-6 September due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. However, the decision has now been made to cancel this year’s games.

The below statement has been issued by the UK Corporate Games team on Facebook:

“It is with regret that we write to inform you of the cancellation of the UK Corporate Games 2020. Due to the uncertainty around when mass participation events will be allowed to take place again, the UK Corporate Games team, Lancaster University and associated partners have decided that cancelling the rearranged Games due to take place 3-6 September is a sad but unavoidable decision.

"We wholeheartedly apologise for any inconvenience this decision will cause and hope that we can welcome you back to Games in 2021.

"We will be making every effort to contact those teams who have already signed up to the Games which were due to take place in September and also reaching out to our regular competitors in the coming days. We have not taken this decision lightly and want to make sure we can support companies as best we can through these difficult times."
