UK Corporate Games cancelled

UK Corporate Games event cancelled

The UK Corporate Games team, Lancaster University and associated partners have taken the decision to cancel the 2021 UK Corporate Games.

The UK Corporate Games were due to take place from 2-5 September this year in and around Lancaster. The Games had already been rescheduled from July 2020 due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Jon Powell, Head of Enterprise and Innovation Services at Lancaster University, Vice President of Lancaster District Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of the Steering Group, said:

“I am sorry to announce that we have taken the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 UK Corporate Games. The safety of competitors and sports organisers has always been at the forefront of our planning, but unfortunately, we have seen a number of teams and competitors withdraw in recent weeks and months.

“This is a disappointing outcome for all involved as we are proud of Lancaster and the surrounding district and wanted to showcase the area as a fantastic place to work, live and play. We wish the UK Corporate Games every success for the future and hope to send a Lancaster contingent to compete in 2022.”

All Lancaster University staff, students and Alumni competitors that have already purchased tickets for the 2021 UK Corporate Games, Lancaster, will receive a full refund in the next couple of weeks.

If you have not received a refund by 1st September, please contact corporategames@lancaster.ac.uk.

Further information regarding the host city and dates for the UK Corporate Games 2022 will be announced later this year.
