Module (Re)design self-directed workbook

This module design workbook consists of a series of prompt questions and activities to help you think about the design of the module and help you develop outputs for use in the approvals documentation. The workbook is divided into three sections corresponding to the three (re)design steps:

  1. Module overview
  2. Module mapping
  3. Module assessment strategy

You can work through the workbook in your own time, arranging conversations with the wider programme and module team at key intervals to complete the activities and consider the prompt questions.

Learning design workshops

This series of Learning design workshops is aimed at various aspects of module design.

The Storyboarding your module workshops is a good place to start. This is a hands-on session to help storyboard a module to improve flow, alignment, and learner experience. Colleagues leave this workshop with an outline (storyboard) of a module which is ready to build on.

There are a number of in-person sessions scheduled for the spring and summer terms. If these dates do not suit, or you would like to consider holding a workshop for a programme team, to explore multiple modules, then please get in touch ceda@lancaster.ac.uk.
