Dr Jenny Benham is Reader in Medieval History at Cardiff University. She is a historian of diplomacy and international law in the medieval period, with particular interests in espionage, treaties, and the practicalities of war and peace.

Dr Jenny Benham is a historian of diplomacy and international law in the medieval period, with particular interests in espionage, treaties, and the practicalities of war and peace. Her books include International Law in Europe, 700-1200 (Manchester University Press, 2022) and Peacemaking in the Middle Ages: Principles and Practice (Manchester University Press, 2011).
