On Monday 13 May, Dr Marco Wyss gave together with Dr Hugo Meijer from Sciences Po Paris a talk at the European University Institute (EUI) on “Illusions of Autonomy: Strategic Cacophony and the State of European Defence”, for the Florence book launch of The Handbook of European Defence Policies and Armed Forces (Oxford University Press, 2018), which they co-edited. The event was chaired by Dr Richard Maher (EUI), with Dr Fabrizio Coticchia (University of Genoa) presenting his Handbook chapter on Italy, and Dr Mette Eilstrup-Sangiovanni (Cambridge University and EUI) acting as discussant.
