A book launch event was held in Palermo for Alex Metcalfe’s monograph I musulmani dell’Italia medievale, which was published at the start of this year. Dr Metcalfe was unable to attend the event, which was organised by the Officina di Studi Medievali in collaboration with the Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturale and the Regione Siciliana. It was instead presented by Prof. Francesco Barone in his absence.
