Clinical Academic Training at Lancaster Medical School
Our trainees and faculty discuss clinical academic training at Lancaster Medical School.
Integrated clinical academic training supports junior doctors to gain skills and knowledge in academic practice alongside their clinical training.
Lancaster Medical School hosts NIHR Clinical Lectureships (CLs) and Academic Clinical Fellowships (ACFs) which include formal research training through our MSc in Clinical Research and works in close partnership with local NHS Trusts to support the delivery of the Academic Foundation Programme. We support our clinical academic trainees to obtain fellowship funding to pursue doctoral training, which we offer through our MD and PhD programmes.
