LUCC Fellows David Tyfield and Andrew Chubb presented on a panel from 19 to 21 August at an international conference jointly organized by the European Association for Science and Technology Studies (EASST) and the Society for Social Studies of Science (4S). Their panel, titled "China, Technology, Planetary Futures: Lessons for a World in Crisis?" discussed the implications of China's rise for the relationship between society and technology from a variety of theoretical and empirical perspectives.
