New student blog post following NWCDTP (North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership) EDI conference

The Cross-DTP EDI Conference and Networking Event took place on 18-19 February 2025 at The Core Technology Facility, University of Manchester, and brought together Doctoral Training Programme (and other) students from across the UK for a two-day event filled with discussions and networking opportunities.
The conference provided a platform for sharing ideas, collaborating, and challenging thinking on equality, diversity, and inclusion within academia. The opening talk encouraged attendees to critically assess the concept of EDI as it currently operates institutionally, while also acknowledging the risks of such critiques, particularly in a global climate where EDI efforts are under threat. Following sessions covered the additional topics of Caring Responsibilities, facilitated by Dr. Bridget Bradley from the University of St Andrews, and Neurodiversity, facilitated by Dr. Louise Creechan of Durham University.
The full event wrap-up can be read online on the NWCDTP Website.
