Event Details
Interested in doing our MSc in Forensic Linguistics & Speech Science (FLiSS) but unsure if it's for you?
Maybe you're a current student and you're trying to plan a future? Maybe you've been out of education for a while and wonder what it would be like to go back? Maybe you're looking to change your career trajectory, branch out, or switch to something new entirely? Whatever the case, come along and have a chat with us!
From 1030-1330 on Sat 10th Feb we're running an Open Day especially for postgraduates. During your visit you can meet with students and staff, explore the campus and facilities, and get advice on the application process, fees, funding support, and more. Best of all, you can have a chat with one of the co-creators of FLiSS - none other than George Brown, and really figure out whether our MSc is the right choice for you.
Speaker
Linguistics and English Language, Lancaster University
I teach on the MSc in Forensic Linguistics & Speech Science and am a member of FACTOR (Forensic Linguistics, Cybersecurity & Technology Research). My research combines a number of subareas of speech science. I am mainly interested in the use of forensic speech technology (e.g. speaker recognition systems), but I also work on progressing human expert analysis methods.
