Our degree programme aims to equip you with a sound foundation in the essentials of Engineering science while integrating and increasing a deeper understanding of Chemical Engineering for you to specialise in.
With our emphasis on teaching, design and project work, you will develop strong capabilities in assessing engineering options. This will enhance your capacity to make decisions, use creativity and overcome difficulties. Our multidisciplinary environment helps to foster your competence to deal with unfamiliar situations and those that cross subject boundaries.
This four year MEng in Chemical Engineering builds upon the BEng scheme offering the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of technical challenges and to develop your leadership, entrepreneurial and management potential. A key feature of the degree is an individual projects, whose design is guided by our research strengths in fuel cell and electrochemical reactor design, chemical sensor development, energy and flow physics modelling and water process engineering, give students the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology.
At the time of going to press our Chemical Engineering courses are still counted as new and are awaiting review by the Institution of Chemical Engineering for professional accreditation.
