CWD Doctoral Student Awarded Prestigious International Grant

CWD member Johanne Marie Skov has received the Adams Center's 2022 dissertation grant for her PhD project examining the Anglo-Saudi Al Yamamah arms deal (1985).
The John A. Adams ’71 Center for Military History and Strategic Analysis is a specialized element of Virginia Military Institute dedicated to Cold War military history and the connections between the Cold War and contemporary international security affairs.
The Adams-Collins Dissertation Grant promotes innovative scholarship on Cold War topics. Johanne Marie’s research addresses a gap in the existing Cold War literature—and promises to deepen understanding of coalition politics during the last decade of the Cold War.
