The Lancaster University Conferences and Events+ (LUCE+) team and the Knowledge Exchange (KE) team at Lancaster University have implemented an exciting new interdepartmental collaboration for 2024.

LUCE+ provide bespoke assistance to internal and external clients looking to bring events or conferences; academic events, corporate residentials, and everything in between, to venues on and around Lancaster University's Bailrigg campus.

The KE Teams enable new collaborations between the academic knowledge base and external organisations, including contract research, consultancy, KTPs, IP development and commercialisation, and regeneration funded activity for engagement.

The idea to bring the two teams together was born out of an organic desire to raise profile, network, and generate new business for the University built on individual strengths and differences, while focused on a common goal.

The Shout Network is the business networking division of Shout Connect which hosts over 600 business networking events each year across the North West where local businesses meet, socialise, collaborate and support each other.

Alongside weekly networking events, the KE and LUCE+ teams will be exhibiting at a number of Business Expos throughout the year, participating equally in the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of our presence and knowledge of the University’s offer across Lancashire.

Inline with the University’s wider strategic plan for a commitment to excellence and inclusivity, this promising collaboration contributes to bringing together communities to engage, inform and transform.
